for one or more of the following full-time positions in both our
Maryland and North Carolina offices.
Job Descriptions
Divisional Manager
The Divisional Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire
operations of a regional office. These duties include: hiring and
training PR professionals, assisting clients in setting and reaching
strategic goals, managing and motivating account teams, and
delegating activities for all important PR campaign activities.
Candidates for Divisional Manager must have extensive experience in
all aspects of public relations, client relationships, team building
and management. Divisional managers will be eligible for an
attractive package of base salary, benefits, and incentives based on
the performance of their division. This position is currently filled
in the North Carolina office. There will be an opportunity for
someone to move into this position in the Maryland office in the
future.
Account Supervisor
The Account Supervisor will work directly with our
clients on high-level PR activities, while supervising the
day-to-day activities for a limited number of account teams. The
Account Supervisor will oversee and manage accounts, train junior
staff members, motivate teams, and ensure that his or her account
teams meet goals for their client accounts. Qualified candidates for
Account Supervisor must have a minimum of 5 years experience working
in the high-tech public relations field.
Senior Account
Executive
The Senior Account Executive position is reserved for
public relations professionals who have a proven track record of
success at the regular Account Executive level. The Senior Account
Executive is responsible for managing both strategic and day-to-day
public relations activities for several of our high-tech clients.
These activities include planning and executing product launches,
press tours, and analyst tours. The Senior Account Executive will
conduct interviews, develop and distribute press releases, secure
media placements in various high-profile publications, develop and
submit speaking proposals, write bylined articles and case studies,
develop and maintain editorial calendars, and submit monthly reports
for each client. Although the majority of our work is done in our
offices, the Senior Account Executive will occasionally travel to
meet with our clients for strategic planning sessions, press tours,
or in support of trade shows. Candidates for Senior Account
Executive must have a college degree, at least 3 years experience in
high-tech public relations, and a strong track record of success.
Account
Executive
The Account Executive is responsible for managing the

develop and submit speaking proposals, write bylined articles and

press tours, or in support of trade shows. Candidates for Account
Executive must be highly motivated individuals who have at least 2
years of actual work experience in in public relations or marketing, excellent
communications skills, strong writing abilities, and the ability to
learn new skills quickly.
Assistant Account Executive
The Assistant Account Executive position is for the
individual who has mastered all of the skills and duties involved
with the Account Coordinator position, and is now ready to take the
next step toward becoming an Account Executive. In addition to
supporting the activities of one or more Account Executives, the
Assistant Account Executive will take a more active role in
higher-level tasks such as press release development, press release
distribution, pitch development, follow up calls to editors and
reporters, conducting interviews and developing case studies, and
working more directly with our clients on a day-to-day basis.
Working as an Assistant Account Executive will enable you to hone
the entire range of your public relations skills. Then, when you are
promoted to Account Executive, you’ll be fully capable of managing
the day-to-day public relations activities for our high-tech
clients.
Account
Coordinator
The Account Coordinator is an entry-level position that provides
opportunities for talented, hardworking individuals to learn all
aspects of the public relations field, while working in support
roles to Senior Account Executive and Account Executives. The
Account Coordinator will be involved in a wide variety of projects
including research, database updates, transcribing interviews,
writing projects, filing, clip books, and whatever is needed to help
our clients meet their public relations objectives. It is possible
for an Account Coordinator to move into an Account Executive
position within one or two years. The ideal candidate must have
college degree, plus strong writing and computer skills including MS
Word, good organizational and communication skills, and ability to
understand new technologies.
Internships
DPR Group has openings for part-time and full-time unpaid
internships for hard-working individuals seeking experience in the
public relations industry. Interns will back-up DPR Group’s account
executives by performing a wide variety of projects, including
research, database updates, writing projects, filing, maintaining
clip books, and whatever else is needed to help our high-tech
clients meet their public relations objectives. There is a
possibility of an internship developing into a paid position.
Qualified applicants should be interested in and have completed
coursework in public relations, communications and/or related
fields. An interest in technology and science is desired, but not
required. Strong writing, proofreading, and computer skills
required.
