DPR Group Selected to Introduce Proxy Aviation Systems to the Unmanned Aviation Industry

PR agency coordinated launch of SkyWatcher at top industry event

Proxy Aviation CEO, Don Ryan, unveiled the SkyWatcher, an unmanned aircraft at the AUVSI Show in Baltimore.GERMANTOWN, MD – July 11, 2005 -- DPR Group, Inc., a public relations agency that represents a broad range of technology and service companies, announced that it was selected by Proxy Aviation Systems, Inc., a company that develops fully autonomous, optionally piloted unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), to help introduce the company to the unmanned aviation industry, manage the launch of the company’s new unmanned aircraft system, SkyWatcher, and provide strategic direction for its marketing and public relations initiatives. DPR Group coordinated the launch of SkyWatcher with the top industry event for unmanned aviation-- AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems Show (www.auvsi.org) on June 27 in Baltimore.

Proxy Aviation Systems CEO, Don Ryan, said, “Because of the high level of competition and exciting advancements in the unmanned aviation arena, we knew that we needed an impressive launch to attract the attention our new UAS would deserve. We selected DPR Group to plan and manage the launch of SkyWatcher because of their track record of promoting and gaining widespread media exposure for other innovative, high-tech companies. With their help, I feel that we have achieved one of the best product launches I have seen in our industry.”

DPR Group worked closely with Proxy Aviation to develop a strategic launch plan for SkyWatcher at AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems Show. This strategy included a variety of projects such as creating a Web site (www.proxyaviation.com), marketing collateral, and a trade show booth, and generating preliminary press buzz and exposure. By launch time, DPR Group had helped Proxy Aviation to create a strong, cohesive image that helped the company to make a significant impact at the show-- and throughout the industry-- when it presented its new unmanned aircraft system.

DPR Group founder and president, Dan Demaree, said, “We are excited to be representing Proxy Aviation and helping to introduce its unique new unmanned aircraft system to the global media. With SkyWatcher, Proxy Aviation has an opportunity to provide the United States Armed Forces with an innovative, highly capable, battle-ready system that closes the performance gap between strategic and tactical unmanned aerial vehicles.”

Proxy Aviation Systems is committed to the advancement of unmanned aviation and is developing an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) designed to execute both low-end strategic and high-end tactical intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance missions. The company established its headquarters in Germantown, Maryland in June 2005. SkyWatcher, Proxy Aviation’s fully-autonomous, optionally-piloted UAS, is designed for use by the United States military, the Department of Homeland Security, and in emerging civil and international applications. Created for long endurance, low and medium altitude, multi-aircraft, multi-payload missions, Proxy Aviation’s system requires fewer personnel and resources than established systems, providing the armed forces with a greater range of capabilities at a significantly lower cost.
