DPR Group Account Executive Named Top Tech Communicator by
PRSourceCode
Germantown, Md.
and Cary, N.C. – August 27, 2007 – DPR Group, Inc. (www.dprgroup.com), a full-service
agency that provides public relations and marketing support services to a
broad range of technology companies, today announced that account
executive Michelle Perkins has been named a Top Tech Communicator by
PRSourceCode, a content service provider serving the information
technology (IT) journalism, conference, industry accolade, and public
relations (PR) communities.
PRSourceCode’s second annual “Top Tech Communicators” study serves to
deliver new editorial perspective on the IT industry’s top PR agencies
and corporate PR departments and individual PR practitioners. This year’s
study findings are based on an online survey of the editorial staffs of
more than 300 of the leading IT publications. Survey respondents were
asked to nominate the PR agency, corporate PR department and individual
PR practitioners that add the most value to their editorial processes
with regard to responsiveness, reliability and overall recognition of
editorial needs.
Respondents spanned the IT editorial community – from horizontal IT
publications such as Computerworld and eWEEK, to verticals
such as the healthcare community’s Healthcare IT News and
Healthcare Informatics, to IT reporters at consumer-oriented news
outlets such as USA Today and U.S. News and World Report.
Perkins joined DPR Group as an account executive in January 2006.
Prior to her current position, she served for more than nine years as an
account executive with a North Carolina-based high-tech public relations
agency, where she was responsible for developing and implementing public
relations campaigns for a diverse client portfolio spanning the database
software, engineering software, electronics, computer graphics
technologies, and systems integration markets. Throughout her career,
Perkins has counseled scores of both domestic and international
technology executives on media relations, strategic messaging, product
launches, and executing corporate visibility campaigns. Perkins began her
career in marketing and public relations for a technology publishing
company in Durham, N.C.
Bryan Wyatt, vice president and general manager of DPR Group, said,
“Michelle is a remarkably talented and hardworking professional who has,
and continues to generate, significant results for her clients. This is a
tremendous honor for Michelle, and we congratulate her on a job well
done.”
