Account Executive
Who We’re Looking For:
DPR Group is looking for highly motivated individuals who have a college degree, a background in public relations or marketing, excellent communications skills, strong writing abilities, a love for technology and the willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
An Account Executive at DPR Group manages day-to-day activities for his or her assigned clients and develops the majority of the content for each. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Building strong relationships with media representatives and industry influencers
  • Developing and distributing press releases
  • Securing press coverage in technology, trade and business media
  • Coordinating and conducting interviews with clients, end users, journalists and analysts
  • Writing bylined articles, e-books, case studies, blog posts and social media content
  • Drafting and submitting speaking proposals and award nominations
  • Creating and deploying inbound marketing campaigns
  • Compiling monthly and annual reports for each client.

The Account Executive works as part of an account team that includes an account advisor, an account coordinator or assistant account executive, and sometimes a marketing writer. It is the account executive’s responsibility to oversee all projects and track billable hours for the team.

Top-level candidates might also have experience with inbound marketing tools; however, this is not a requisite and training can be provided for HubSpot and other marketing technology. The Account Executive must be available for occasional travel to meet with clients for strategic planning sessions and to provide tradeshow support.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Candidates for the Account Executive position must be highly motivated public relations and marketing professionals who will take pride in doing his or her very best work for DPR Group and our clients. He or she must have a college degree, excellent communications skills, strong writing capabilities, a basic understanding of marketing strategy and implementation, and the ability to learn new skills quickly.

The right applicant will have 2-5 years of on-the-job experience working in the fields of public relations, marketing and/or corporate communications for an agency or in-house marketing team. A strong candidate will also possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Science or a related field
  • Ability to understand and write about science and technology
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a number of projects and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new computer skills quickly
  • A legal resident of the United States

Assistant Account Executive
Who We’re Looking For:
DPR Group is looking for individuals who have mastered all of the skills and duties of the entry-level account coordinator position and are ready to take the next step toward becoming an account executive. Candidates for this position must have a college degree, plus at least 2 years of experience as an account coordinator at an agency or the equivalent in an in-house marketing department.

Since DPR Group believes in developing our people, there are opportunities for individuals to be promoted to account executive if certain requirements are met.

Responsibilities:
In addition to supporting the activities of one or more account executives, the assistant account executive takes an active role in higher-level tasks, such as posting to social media, updating media databases, researching, writing and distributing press releases, developing pitches, conducting follow-up calls to editors and reporters, conducting interviews and drafting case studies, and working more directly with clients on a daily basis.
