Overview
Linor Technology, Inc. (Linortek) is a research and development company that designs and builds controllers for the “Internet of Things” (IoT), a market that involves web connection between all types of products. Linortek developed two lines of web controllers used in three niche products, NetBell, Network Hour Meter and Aquaculture Farm Monitor. This technology focus and expertise has enabled Linortek to take full advantage of the new generation of IoT for industrial, manufacturing and educational businesses as well as the Aquaculture vertical business with needs for control, monitoring and alert over the internet. All products are controlled and monitored from a simple and easy to use web page or mobile application.
The Challenge
As a small manufacturer of specialized controllers for the IoT, Linortek needed to start building more brand awareness about its products and services. Some of their main objectives are as follows:
- Build brand awareness for Linortek as a company that designs and builds controllers and other innovative products for the Internet of Things (IoTs).
- Generate a steady stream of positive news about Linortek and its products in key trade and technology publications.
- Position Linortek executives as thought leaders in the field of design and development of products for the Internet of Things.
- Secure positive publicity for the May 2019 launch of Linortek’s IoTMeter™, a Wireless Equipment Hour meter.
The Solution
Linortek signed DPR Group to help plan and execute the successful launch of its IoTMeter and to secure additional publicity for other products such as the Netbell® NTG TCP/IP All-in-One Speaker. In addition, DPR Group was tasked with helping promote Linortek’s working relationship with various reseller partners.
Results
As part of its focused digital public relations campaign for Linortek, DPR Group helped generate positive publicity for the launch of Linortek’s IoTMeter. The IoTMeter is a wireless equipment runtime monitor and alert system. The device remotely collects real-time data on offline industrial vehicles and powered equipment, enabling companies to stay on top of routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and lost revenue.
As part of this launch, DPR Group secured positive publicity for the IoTMeter in a variety of industry and trade publications such as:
- Automation.com
- Aviation Pros
- Crane & Hoist Canada
- Construction Dive
- DC Velocity
- Design World
- IoT Coresoft
- Material Handling Wholesale
- Rock to Road
- Supply Chain Dive
A few months later, DPR Group drafted a press release entitled, “Linortek Unveils Netbell® – NTG TCP/IP All-in-One Speakers with Built-in Tone Generator.” The Netbell-NTG product line provides a simple and easy-to-use way for schools to signal class changes and factories and businesses to signal shift changes and breaks. The system is best suited for small to mid-sized schools, factories, businesses, warehouses, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, government & military buildings and distribution centers.
DPR Group was able to secure media coverage about Netbell in publications such as DC Velocity, Facility Executive magazine, Manufacturing Automation and other relevant publications.
DPR Group helped Linortek announce their reseller program, plus we announced some of their key resellers to the marketplace.
In addition, DPR Group secured a placement for a bylined article entitled, “Data Use and Ownership in the IoT Age: What Businesses Need to Know,” by Gary Nalven, CEO of Linortek in IoT Innovator magazine.
