About MedTrainer
In 2016, two entrepreneurs with backgrounds in healthcare and technology, Steve Gallion and Jorge Fernandez, launched MedTrainer to streamline management processes and increase departmental collaboration for healthcare professionals. Their vision was to build MedTrainer into an all-in-one compliance management suite that offers the tools healthcare professionals need for best-in-class online training, compliance, credentialing, and accreditation.
The PR prognosis
After its software suite launched, MedTrainer became an instant success and experienced rapid organic growth just through word-of-mouth between healthcare professionals throughout the United States. It’s easy to see why. Developed with direct input from a variety of healthcare groups and Fortune 1000 companies, the first-of-its-kind solution could answer a wide variety of compliance challenges in a single platform.
Looking to drive greater company growth and reach more customers, CEO Steve Gallion realized that MedTrainer needed a high-tech public relations and marketing agency to build up its brand profile and awareness in its target marketplaces, including:
- Ambulatory surgery centers (ASC)
- Community health centers
- Hospitals
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FHQC)
- Long-term care facilities
- Primary care offices
- Urgent care facilities
After reviewing several proposals, MedTrainer’s executives selected DPR Group for our extensive experience in the healthcare technology space.
A healthy dose of publicity
DPR Group set out to promote MedTrainer as a robust, high-quality software solution for today’s healthcare facilities. In addition to generating a steady stream of press releases highlighting company and product updates and securing numerous awards on MedTrainer’s behalf, we wrote case studies to demonstrate the platform’s value and capabilities. Fortunately, MedTrainer had a large number of happy customers open to sharing their transformative results.
One customer was the Sault Tribe Health Division, who saw an over 30 percent increase in its training compliance—up to 99.98 percent—thanks to MedTrainer. We placed a feature article about the health center’s use of the software in Healthcare IT Newsand worked with a videographer to produce a video testimonial for additional marketing content.
As part of building up MedTrainer’s brand profile, we positioned the company’s executives as thought leaders on pressing compliance issues in the healthcare industry. This was accomplished by developing and placing bylined articles in top publications read by decision-makers in its target marketplaces. Examples include:
- ASC Focus
- Becker’s ASC Review
- Healthcare Facilities Today
- Healthcare Purchasing News
- McKnight’s Long-term Care News
- Patient Safety & Quality Healthcare
MedTrainer’s sales executives have reported significant new business leads from these articles, especially the ones focused on compliance with the USP<800> hazardous drug handling standards.
Seeing our team’s high-quality of writing on healthcare topics, MedTrainer expanded its services with DPR Group to include content development, including blogs, white papers, and even social media posts. We have also identified speaking engagements and developed abstracts for the company’s executives, providing them new opportunities to interact with prospective clients. These have included in-person events at important tradeshows and online webinars and popular podcasts.
