Dan Demaree, president and CEO, initially founded DPR Group in 1998, in Wakefield, Massachusetts, as a small public relations firm with the goal of working with high-tech companies as an extension of their marketing team. In 2000, DPR Group relocated its headquarters to Frederick, Maryland, where it still operates today as an integrated public relations and marketing firm.
Initially founded to serve B2B software companies in the United States, DPR Group has grown over the last 20 years, and so has its service area. Today, DPR Group delivers its seamless blend of expert-level public relations and marketing services to a number of high-tech companies in North America and Europe, primarily within the business-to-business software, supply chain and logistics, manufacturing, healthcare and government contracting industries. DPR Group helps support its client’s growth by promoting the company, its executives, and products and services to its target audiences and marketplaces.
In addition to traditional PR and marketing, DPR Group has added “Inbound marketing” to its growing list of services. Inbound marketing is the practice of attracting prospective new customers to a client’s website or blog by delivering relevant content to them. At that point, the Inbound marketer “nurtures” the prospect along the marketing funnel through a series of informative communications, which are designed to build a bond between the client and the prospect. Although DPR Group works with a variety of Inbound marketing platforms, the company is a HubSpot gold level reseller partner. In addition, the entire DPR Group staff undergoes HubSpot training with the majority of the staff Inbound Certified.

To celebrate this achievement, Demaree took the DPR Group staff to Maryland’s largest family entertainment center – Adventure Park USA. Even though the cold temperatures kept the 20-year celebration inside, it didn’t stop the DPR Group team from having a fun-filled day. There, the staff played laser tag and a myriad of arcade games, including some that utilized virtual reality technology. Afterwards, they enjoyed a catered meal together as Demaree and other executives reminisced about the highlights of the last 20 years.
